Personal Power Tips - 'Therapy Lite'

Picture this section as a tool box. A bunch of handy dandy techniques or skills that you can pull out and apply when required. They're time tested and proven effective when used with practice. Like an adjustable wrench, you may have to tweak a tool to make it work for any specific situation; but with effort and thoughtfulness you can be a personal power master.

Myth: The Power of Positive Thinking Imagine you're driving a car and the engine temperature warning light comes on. Would you stick a piece of duct tape over it and chant "Cool engine, cool engine"?

Many people do just that with the issues in their life. They use the slogans of Be Positive, Think Positive, Be Happy, Act Enthusiatic as emotional duct tape and keep on driving along till their engines seize up and their bodies or minds or emotions grind to a halt on the side of the highway!
Planning to Succeed If you wanted to drive 2000 miles to a dream vacation destination, how would you start? Would you just get in your car and go, hoping it was the right direction? Or would you use a map and plan the trip? So why not plan your life? Or at least parts of it!
